A unique fly fishing environment.

Fishing a spate river

Fishing ancient rivers and lochs in the midst of dramatic highland scenery is an awesome communion with nature. These hills have seen the passage of many men but still they remain noble, majestic and unconquered. Oh if only they could speak, what tales would they tell of clan wars, of treachery, cowardice and bravery. We are indeed fortunate to be able to enjoy the magnificent grandeur of mountain, moor and glen in peace, or nearly so for they can still be dangerous to the unaware and unprepared.

Loch More in Sutherland

Fishing in an unspoiled wilderness where the eagle soars, the deer run and the brightly coloured trout jump to your fly is an amazing experience and flyfish-scotland can help you to enjoy it. The flora and fauna of the highlands is rich and varied. Arctic alpines grow on the cold easterly slopes, diver and dotterel compete with the golden plover for your attention. I could write about the highlands for ever but only your being there will create the all important images that will last forever. If you wish to come, a hundred thousand welcomes await you, if you have already visited Scotland, haste ye back.

Please contact me for any Highland fishing advice. Professional guides will lead you to hidden lochs in safety. For those less able, my Totota Land Cruiser vehicle will ensure that you do not miss out on one of life's great experiences in the most comfortable possible way.
